The dictionary has been designed primarily for students on teacher education courses but it is hoped that everyone with an interest in education will find it useful.
 
The dictionary is free to use and generates no income.

We particularly value feedback. In May 2010, all the dictionary webpages were accidentally deleted and had to be rebuilt. Some revisions made after the site was originally launched have been lost, so please alert us to any errors or omissions:
 
 

Compiler
 
The dictionary was compiled by Donald Gillies and launched in March 2010.
 
Dr Gillies is a lecturer at the University of Strathclyde and has worked with numerous cohorts of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Prior to moving to the university sector he taught for over 20 years in state schools.
 
Despite spending many hours in libraries, he is reasonably well socialised.
